Spotify has taken a bold stand against the flood of low-quality AI-generated music by removing over 75 million spam tracks from its platform. The crackdown focuses on three key areas: stronger policies against unauthorized AI voice clones, a new spam filter to block mass uploads and duplicates, and an industry-first credit disclosure system to identify AI’s role in track creation.

While CEO Daniel Ek acknowledges the risks of AI misuse, he remains optimistic about its creative potential.
Spotify’s move strikes a balance between protecting artists’ royalties and embracing AI as a legitimate tool for music innovation and transparency.
