The music world is in profound mourning following the sudden, tragic passing of Oliver Tree Nickell.
The 32-year-old chart-topping singer, songwriter, and beloved EDM collaborator was killed Sunday morning alongside five others in a devastating mid-air helicopter collision over Rio de Janeiro’s Recreio dos Bandeirantes neighborhood.
The aircraft plunged into a parking lot below, triggering a massive fire. Oliver Tree was in Brazil as part of his massive world tour following the April release of his latest album.
Known for his iconic bowl cut, eccentric persona, and hits like “Life Goes On,” his boundary-pushing legacy will never be forgotten.
