From Ibiza Mainstages to International Fugitive: The DJ Shocking the Music World!

Former Ibiza regular Hugo Bianco has been named as the alleged mastermind behind a massive international drug trafficking network operating between Spain and the United States.

A recent ruling by the High Court of Justice of the Balearic Islands identifies the Argentine DJ—best known for his residency with Marco Carola’s Music On brand at clubs like Amnesia and Pacha—as the head of the operation.

Bianco is currently believed to be living in Florida and has been officially declared a fugitive from justice.

The transatlantic bust, dubbed Operation Pertinax, was a joint effort between Spain’s Guardia Civil and US Homeland Security. Investigators reveal the syndicate used couriers with modified suitcases to smuggle massive quantities of MDMA, liquid ketamine, and cannabis across the Atlantic.

While Bianco remains at large, the court recently upheld a 9.5-year prison sentence and a €3 million fine for a senior logistics coordinator based in Barcelona.

The digital system replaces passport stamps with biometric registration, including facial scans and fingerprints. While Brussels Airport added kiosks and extra facilities ahead of the rollout, staffing shortages and increased summer traffic have worsened queues.

Festivalgoers traveling to Tomorrowland are advised to arrive early, allow extra transit time, and avoid booking tight flight connections.
