Hi Kriz, how are you? Can you tell us about your background in music and how you first got into producing?
I am doing great , thanks ! I was born in a small town called Chakradharpur in the State of Jharkhand. I belong to a very humble and conservative family background. There being very little resources available around, I got into music producing on my own in my small room with an under powered computer and very basic set of headphones. To someone else it would be a very meagre setup , for me it was everything that I needed to start producing music on my own.
How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
I make music that connects emotionally to my listeners. The various elements of my music can make people experience Euphoria.
How has your music evolved over the years, and where do you see your sound going in the future?
No artist is born great , it is his hardwork and fan following that make him big as an artist. Hence, I feel I am evolving as an Artist Everyday. Each day I learn something new which I have never known before and that’s how I grow for myself and for my fans. In the future, I see myself making music that can directly connect to the emotions of my listeners and leave a life long imprint on their hearts.
Are there any other artists you would love to collaborate with in the future?
There are two names in the near future that I see myself collaborating with HARDWELL & DJ NYK. They are my Inspirations from the day I ever thought of starting to produce my own music.
Can you talk about a particularly challenging project you’ve worked on and how you overcame any obstacles?
I had no challenges on a particular project. But , I had challenges on all my projects. Since I could not afford an expensive high resource CPU and sophisticated audio equipment, for me executing these high resource consuming project files on the latest DAW would lead me to frustrations of an another level. My projects used to very often hang resulting into rework. So to sort this , I used to make one project segregating into different files as stems and then at the end when my work was complete, I would integrate all of these elements/stems together to form one SONG. This would take up a lot of my time, but the final deliverance at the end would bring a smile to my face and make it all worth it. These are the days, I will never forget as they didn’t pose challenges but also taught me the harder ways of LIFE!
If you could go back in time and give your past self-one piece of advice about your music career, what would it be?
Do not trust anyone & everyone. I say this to myself everyday and it’s the only advice that I have for my own self.
Can you talk about any specific goals or aspirations you have for your music career in the future?
In the future, I see myself become one of the best DJ Producers of the State of Jharkhand and making my own community and country proud of me as one of the best DJ producers. Another big aspiration of mine is signing up for HARDWELL’S REVELED & SPINNIN RECORD labels.
As a musician, how do you approach balancing the creative side of making music with more practical considerations, such as promotion and marketing?
I always believe in letting people do what they are best at. I am best in producing music , I would leave promotion and marketing to suitable agencies that excel in the same. This would help me grow more as an artist and give more time to my music and creativity whilst leaving the marketing/promotional aspects to partnering vendors. This would be striking the right balance.
Can you give any advice to aspiring producers wanting to break into the edm industry?
If you have dreamt of becoming a producer, there are no “ifs & buts”. You have to start today to become better Tomorrow.
Can you share a few words about Deep Waves Music?
Deep Waves Music as the name suggest goes deep into the souls of its listeners. It offers something unique for every music fan, no matter what style of music preferred, it caters to all. I think it is one of the best platforms for DJ producers and fledging talent to come and showcase their creativity.
