In a heartfelt tribute to one of electronic dance music’s most iconic figures, SiriusXM has launched “Avicii Radio,” a dedicated channel celebrating the life and legacy of the late Avicii. This new channel, created in collaboration with the Tim Bergling Foundation, promises to be a treasure trove for fans, featuring Avicii’s hits along with “never-before-heard music from his past live performances.”
The channel, which launched with the emotional anthem “Wake Me Up” featuring Aloe Blacc, will also feature appearances by notable collaborators like Nicky Romero, Armin van Buuren, and Laidback Luke. Aloe Blacc, who is voicing the channel, shared, “I can’t think of a better way to honor the life and legacy of Avicii. This SiriusXM radio channel dedicated to the music he made, played and inspired is a lasting testament to his massive influence.”
In alignment with Mental Health Awareness Month, “Avicii Radio” aims to foster a community of support and conversation around mental well-being. The channel will include audio messages from Vibrant Emotional Health, an organization offering confidential emotional support. Klas Bergling, Avicii’s father and director of the Tim Bergling Foundation, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “We appreciate their interest in promoting the emotional well-being of young people and of the Tim Bergling Foundation and its goals.”
This new channel not only honors Avicii’s musical contributions but also supports the ongoing mission to promote mental health awareness and well-being, keeping Avicii’s spirit and influence alive for fans around the world.
