Coachella safety has come under intense scrutiny following a series of alarming incidents during the festival’s 2026 debut.
One attendee reported being struck “crazy hard” by a drone during Foster The People’s performance, an accident attributed to radio frequency interference.

This follows a “bloodied” injury at the Do Lab stage caused by a falling lighting fixture and a tree collapse in the campgrounds.
While the drone victim received VIP upgrades as compensation, the mounting technical failures and high winds—which also forced the cancellation of Anyma’s headlining set—have left many fans questioning the festival’s current Coachella safety protocols.
