San Francisco DJ HABITAAT, aka Tomas Wischerath, made history by spinning the first-ever DJ set atop Yosemite’s Half Dome, 8,800 feet high. With twin brother Tyson’s help, he hauled his gear up the granite peak at 4 AM, recording a 38-minute mix of ambient and downtempo beats blended with nature’s sounds—without amplification to preserve the park’s tranquility.
Inspired mid-flight, Wischerath aims to connect with the land and inspire conservation. The set, now on YouTube, showcases his innovative ethos. A behind-the-scenes video is coming soon, revealing the climb’s challenges and creativity.
